At USF Verftet we map the condition of various technical facilities using sensors. The entire building has been scanned and created a 3D model which has been converted into a complete BIM (Building Information Model) model. All sensory data which has been mounted is connected to the 3D model, establishing a complete real-time digital twin of USF Verftet. The intention is to map which technical systems works well and which systems are ready for replacement or rehabilitation. The indoor climate sensors provide interesting data not usually available and compared with real-time energy meters mounted in various panels all around the building, an overview of where energy consumption can be reduced are provided in detail. It also determines which rooms works well, which rooms needs upgrade and how the rooms work together in whole.
We use the knowledge from these data to transform the venerable old sardine factory into a smart and sustainable building. Turning brown into green.
